011 Buttonwood

This 16’ Bahaman built runabout came to the shop for a new section of spray rail and some refastening, caulking, seam compound and paint on its bottom. The owner fell in love with ‘Buttonwood’ in the Bahamas and is determined to keep it in top shape. See photos.

019 Simplicity

Haven 12 1/2 ‘Simplicity’ came to the shop pretty well busted up.  After a close encounter with a SUV there were plenty of repairs to do.  ‘Simplicity’ had her sheerstrakes, covering boards, toerails, trim, cockpit sole and sternpost replaced along with repairs to her transom, coaming and planking.  After a full paint and varnish Simplicity left the shop better than new. dixie 065 Dixie

Dixie was a great opportunity to do some interior joinery. I replaced the old plywood cabin door with a solid mahogony raised-panel door and built a custom raw bar opposite the helm. See photos.

106 Chamberlain Dory Skiff

This is a beautiful example the the Chamberlain Dory Skiff found in John Gardner’s ‘The Dory Book.’ Built in the traditional manner, she is planked in copper rivited White Cedar over White Oak sawn and steam bent frames with a White Pine bottom and a varnished Cherry transom. All other fasteners are silicon bronze. See photos.

peapod 110 Oregon Peapod

This glued lapstrake peapod was commissioned as a tender for a local family.  Elegant, light weight, low-maintenance and small enough for the yacht club outhaul, this little beauty was the perfect fit. See photos.

Table Marine Furnishings

In addition to boat building, we offer custom furnishings.  Shown is a custom Cherry table with a Tupelo inlay and Mahogany deck grates. See photos.
